Jamshed Masood
Jamshed Masood is an engineering graduate and has worked in
the ICT sector since 1995, focusing on regulatory and policy issues. Jamshed
was part of the team that launched the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority
in 1995. He played an instrumental role in enabling the introduction of the
Internet in Pakistan in 1996. Since 2000, Jamshed has worked extensively
on the IT and telecommunications sector policy restructuring and reform process
undertaken in Pakistan. He was part of the team entrusted with implementing
the IT Policy and Action Plan adopted by the government in 2000. Since early
2002, he has been co-steering the deregulation of the telecommunications
sector and formulating the necessary enabling measures.
