Ching-Yi Liu
Ching-Yi Liu is Associate Professor of Law at the Graduate
Institute of Industrial Economics, National Central University, Taiwan. She
is the supervisor of the Taiwan Network Information Centre and was, until
2002, a member of the Technology Advisory Committee established by the President
of Taiwan. Ms Liu also serves as a commissioner on Taiwan's Consumer Protection
Commission. Prior to joining the institute in 1999, she taught as an assistant
professor of law at Tamkang University for two years. Ms Liu graduated from
the Law Department of the National Taiwan University in 1989 and received
her first Masters degree of Law from the Graduate Institute of Law at the
same university in 1993. Her studies in the USA from 1993 to 1997 was sponsored
by a scholarship from Taiwan's government. She received an LLM from Harvard
Law School in 1994 and a JSD from the University of Chicago Law School in
1997. Ms Liu's current research and publications focus on the regulation
of cyberspace, technology and law, and anti-trust law, among others.
