Nalaka Gunawardene

Nalaka Gunawardene started his career as a science writer and journalist with Sri Lanka's print and broadcast media. He has written and broadcast extensively on science and technology issues. He has also served as a United Nations consultant, media researcher, television commentator and columnist. He now heads the Asia Pacific Regional Programme of the International Television Trust for the Environment. He has twice won the prestigious Science Writer of the Year award presented annually by the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science.
