Danny Butt

Danny Butt is Lecturer in Digital Media and Director of the Media Arts Creative Industries Research Centre at the Waikato Institute of Technology in Hamilton, New Zealand. Before working in the academic sector, his professional career spanned the music, publishing, new media, contemporary arts, and advertising industries; and he has consulted on digital content issues for leading Australasian media companies, including the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the Radio Network (New Zealand) and Saatchi and Saatchi New Zealand. He is also a facilitator for Fibreculture http://www.fibreculture.org, Australasia's peak network for Internet research and theory.
