Abdullah Zainol Abidin
Abdullah Zainol Abidin is ICT Manager at the National University
of East Timor. He is responsible for maintaining, managing and supervising
the university's IT Training Centre. It is a joint initiative of the Asia-Pacific
Development Information Programme, Yayasan Salam Malaysia, UNDP in Timor-Leste
and the National University of Timor-Leste. Abdullah graduated from Universiti
Teknologi MARA in 1997. He was presented the Best Student for Diploma in
Computer Science (Sri Manjung Campus) award at the October 1997 convocation.
Abdullah gained his first international work experience in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
He subsequently joined Yayasan Salam Malaysia and was posted to Timor-Leste
for a year from 2001 to 2002, after which Yayasan Salam Malaysia nominated
him as a United Nations Volunteer in Timor-Leste.
